  4. You probably expected this program automatically to install
  5. Mac-2-Dos for you.  Sorry about that; we found that we promised
  6. more than we can deliver.  But read on...things aren't as bad as
  7. they might seem.

  9. We have some good news and some bad news.  
  10.  
  11. The good news is that you can use Mac-2-Dos WITHOUT doing ANY
  12. software installation at all (of course you still MUST install the
  13. Mac-2-Dos interface and a Mac drive, as described in the User's
  14. Guide).  To run Mac-2-Dos, just click on the Mac-2-Dos icon and
  15. away you go.  If you want to move Mac-2-Dos to another directory,
  16. drag it (or copy it) to the proper directory.

  18. The bad news is this: if you want to use your Mac drive as an
  19. AmigaDOS device, you must perform a manual installation of the
  20. Mac disk device driver, called "macfloppy.device", as described in
  21. the User's Guide under Software Installation and in Appendix A.

  23. Actually this isn't as bad as it sounds, and is really simple if
  24. you have ever installed a driver.  Just follow the directions in
  25. the User's Guide and in the Release-Notes on the Mac-2-Dos master
  26. disk.
